Fabric Material from my "Stash"  and added some Grass elements to it.

I gathered the material underneath the lace to give it a kind of gathered look.

Mini Album

Made this mini album using heavy cardboard and added CTMH "Stella Complements" that I purchased from the "While Supplies Last" section.    (which has now been sold out.)
You can get some really good buys in the While Supplies Last section!

I like to take outdoor nature pictures....so wanted to make a little album that reflects nature.

Tips & Techniques

This is where I will be posting "tips & techniques" to inform and hopefully be helpful.......
(keep checking back as I will be adding more.)

* New Stamp Care:  Before you use your new My Acrylic® Stamps you need to "season" them.  Seasoning is a process used to remove any residue that may have gotten on your stamp during the production process.   Ink your stamp, then stamp on a scrap paper until the color eventually fades out.  Do this several times.
Note:  You can also use a regular pink eraser or the Rub & Remove Eraser™ 
(just rub over your new stamp.)

* Stamping With Your My Acrylic® Stamps:  This is how you want to stamp your images to create a nice crisp look.  If you are using a new stamp be sure to "season" it first.
Then when you ink up your image...do a tap, tap onto your ink pad, then twist, twist on the ink pad, then tap, tap it again on your ink pad.  Look at the stamp to make sure it looks even throughout.  Be sure and place the foam sheet that comes with the CTMH My Acrylic® Clear Stamps under your paper when stamping to produce a more crisp and even image.

* Cleaning Your Stamps:  Use the My Acrylix® Spritz Spray Cleaner and the My Acrylix® Stamp Scrubber, which has raised bristles that you rub into your stamp to clean off any left on ink.

* Edge Distresser:  Use the Edge Distresser   to safely and quickly distress the edges of  your cardstock using any of the eight blades.

* Masking - Stamp your main image on your card.  Then stamp it again on a scrap piece of paper and cut that out and lay it over your main image. Then stamp your same image again to the left side of it....and then again to the right side of it.   So it looks like your two side images are behind the front image.

* Rub & Remove™ Eraser:  Works like an eraser to remove misplaced adhesive or rub-ons. (2" x 2")

Congrats Card

Made this Congrats card using the CTMH "For Always Cardmaking Kit - Workshops On The Go"
I added glitter to the sides of the card for a little more added sparkle.

This kit also includes 15 cards with envelopes.

Family Scrapbook Layout Using Studio J ®

Made and purchased my first scrapbook layout in Studio J ® tonight.
Can't believe how easy it is to do!
This is just a page layout shot...I will be printing out my actual pages and displaying them.

This is something I will definately be doing again :-)

Gate Fold Card

Made this Gate Fold Card (which opens in the center of the card...like a "gate")

To make this card I cut a piece cardstock to measure 4½" in height....and 11" in width.
Score the card at 2¾" from each end (I used my Martha Stewart Mini Score Board).
Fold your card on the fold lines...they will meet in the middle of the card.
I then cut a 3"x 3" piece of cardstock for the center front.
I stamped "Thinking Of You My Friend" on it - which is from the CTMH "For A Friend Occasions" stamp set  (D1542)
I attached it to one side of the card with dimensional dots (only attach them to one side so that your card will open up.)
I then added some flower elements from the Chantilly Elements Set (X7163C)

Storage Box

Made this cute box that is a heavy-duty chipboard box with magnetic closure.
which measures 6 3/8" × 2 1/8" × 4 3/8".
I covered the top of the box with solid cardstock, then added printed designer papers around the sides (just used glue)
Then glued on the chipboard flower design to the top.
This box is very nice for storing cards, pictures, crafting supplies, etc.

Photo On Canvas

I used our family photo which was hand drawn by our family member Zakk.
I used CTMH 6"x6" My Creations ® Canvas (Z1818)
I printed the photo on to a sheet of  Tissue Paper (just regular tissue paper that you buy for gift wrapping)
I layed the tissue paper on to a sheet of paper (taped the edges of the tissue paper on to the sheet of paper)
to print it out.
I applied Mod Podge generously on to the canvas with a foam brush...then layed the tissue paper photo on to the canvas and eased out the bubbles carefully.
The tissue paper is very delicate so you have to be very careful not to rip it.
Trim the edges of the paper and fold them over the edges and use Mod Podge to glue down the edges.
I let it dry pretty good and then I applied another coat of Mod Podge on top of the photo for added protection.

Here is how I made this card........

 Lay your card on the cardstock that you want as your background and trace around the card.

Cut out the tracing (you can use a scissors or a paper cutter.)

 

Use an adhesive tape roller (or glue) to the back of the cardstock - turn it right side and line it up on your card and press it down good.

Then trace the pattern paper to the height where you want it to go up to on your card and then cut that out - add your tape to the back of that piece and lay it on the bottom part of your card.

So it looks like this.

Cut a piece of ribbon to go across the seam line and use your tape to glue it down then trim the ribbon off the two sides to line up with the card.

Add your element and then stamp your sentiment on to it.

This is the result.
